Cloud Meadow is one of Steam’s top porn games. It’s popular and widely reviewed. But is the game any good at all?
That’s a question we are here to answer. We are taking a closer look at Cloud Meadow in our review, including price and the style of game. Are the graphics and story high-quality?
Let’s get to this.
Cloud Meadow Review – A Farming Simulator
As the headline states, Cloud Meadow at its core is a farming simulator. The game is built on a role-playing module and told through a visual erotica novel. Yes, it’s a porn game, but being it’s located on Steam, it gets more of a mainstream’ish pass. Cloud Meadow is super bizarre, but fun, but weird, but enlightening, all in one robust gaming package.
You choose between two characters (Evan or Eve).
Let’s get down to brass tacks. In order to read this review, you gotta be the type of person that’s into a little bizarre content. Cloud Meadow isn’t your every day erotic experience. It’s all toon based. There are monsters. Also, there’s battles and combat.
Team Nimbus released early access versions of Cloud Meadow in 2020 and it’s been a relatively successful endeavor since.
Cloud Meadow features a lot of nudity, as well as gay themes. If you prefer, you can cut those aspects off. But at that point, it’s not an adult game anymore which is almost more bizarre.
Your main goal is to build a farm in the clouds and sky, hence, the name.
After you inherit the farm, the local government unionizes it. You’ll have the option to promptly begin tilling your farm or socialize around the new town and meet new people.
There are battles ahead. An initial swarm of catgirls prompts the very first battle scene and from there, these scenes are more frequent.
You can create monsters through interspecies breeding. These monsters can serve you as warriors.
There’s an anthropomorphic dog that assist you through the game, particularly when things feel a bit confusing.
You’ll encounter a series of unique worlds. There’s levitating dungeones. There’s wizards. And as mentioned, lots and lots of monsters.
There’s a lot of intense sex scenes, also. Unless you shut them off. The scenes can get rather explicit, so be for-warned. If you don’t shut them off prior to the start of the game, you can’t shut them off while playing. So if you plan to conquer Cloud Meadow at work, use caution. Although, not sure how many jobs would be cool with you playing a game filled with busty monsters while you should be working. But alas, I digress.
There’s a lot of farming and socializing. You can explore the area. The breeding aspect is rather important.
Graphics, Animations, Sound
Team Nimbus crafted artful, provocative mid-evil style graphics for Cloud Meadow. Through and through, you’ll find Fall colors like browns and deep yellows as the hallmarks of the settings.
There’s a retro, 80’s vibe to the mildly pixelated graphics. Some characters have portraits and in those, we find much more unique art. But that’s only for some characters.
Overall, it’s a great look and feel but again, you must enjoy the throwback style graphics. Its intentional. There’s a soft feel to all the artistry which seems to reflect the cloud aspect of things. All the characters are shaped in gentle curves, even when those curves amount to a more sinister monster output. The art is well thought out in design.
The sound isn’t great. It has some peppy music that cycles. It will sort of go away, then come back, at inappropriate times. There’s not much in the way of sound effects, even in battle.
There are sound settings where you can adjust some of these aspects, but its nothing elaborate. Cloud Meadow could definitely improve on sound.
You can play Cloud Meadow here.
Pricing
Last I looked, it was $13.99 on Steam. It can cost as much as $19.99, but they often run discounts.
Conclusion
Cloud Meadow is a farming simulation, combat game. It features explicit sex scenes unless you turn that off. The graphics are retro-style and the in-game play offers an exploratory aspect. You can find the game on Steam.
