Grand Theft Auto 5 and several other titles are making a run for it (yes, we did) this summer from the PlayStation Plus catalog. These are titles avaialble to Extra Tier members.
The PlayStation Store’s Last Chance to Play page has been updated and now boast a number of other games alongside GTA5. This would include Indivisible and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
Also leaving are SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, The Talos Principle, Deluxe Edition, Dodgeball Academia, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, Monster Jam Steel Titans, MotoGP 23, The Wild at Heart, and Unturned.
Clearly, GTA5 is the headliner of the exits in this case.
GTA 5’s removal will occur just one month after Rockstar Games’ latest title, Red Dead Redemption 2, was added to the service. Originally a launch title for the PlayStation Plus Games Catalog, Red Dead Redemption 2 was removed in September 2022 before being reintroduced in May 2024. The decade-old GTA 5 has been available on the service since December 2023.
GTA5, developed by Rockstar Games, is an open-world action-adventure game first released in 2013. Its been a mega-hit ever since.
Set in the sprawling city of Los Santos, GTA 5 follows the stories of Michael, a retired bank robber; Franklin, a street hustler; and Trevor, a volatile criminal.
The game has received widespread acclaim for its storytelling, graphics, and expansive online multiplayer mode, making it one of the best-selling video games of all time.
And with GTA6 set to launch sometime next year, we doubt many folks we care all that much about any of this. But alas, its the news, so we discuss it.
